What information we collect (Localization)

When you visit our website, we may collect information about your location such as your IP address, and information about  the web browser you use to access our website. IP addresses and browser locale information are used to provide our users/visitors with a localized experience, for example, pricing, language, etc.

Information such as your browser brand (for example Chrome), version, operating system, and plugins are collected in order to optimize your experience when you are on our website.

We also collect the data you provide to us through our website such as your contact information when requesting additional information about our products and services.

How we collect your information? (3rd party tracking tools)

Emtelligent uses third party services such as Google Analytics to collect your localization information (IP Address, browser information), that may be available when you access our website.  This information is used for the sole purpose of better understanding how you/our visitors are using are site for the purpose of improving our services.  We may use third party tracking tools in the future for marketing campaigns.

Cookies, Log Data and Analytics

We use web browser cookies and other tracking methods to track your usage of our website to help us measure the performance of our website.  When you visit our website, cookies will uniquely identify your browser session, i.e. what page you landed on, what pages you visited, for how long and where you went after visiting our site.

Your personal information is stored on servers located in Canada through service providers who do not have authorization to access your information.  They are contractually bound by the terms of data protection obligations that are consistent with our privacy policies.

 

Our service providers must retain/store data within Canada.

How long we keep your information

We only keep your information for as long as required to fulfil the purpose of the collection, and as required by law (for e.g. requirements related to legal, accounting, tax reporting).  When your information is no longer needed, it is destroyed using secure destruction methods.

 

You can ask us to delete your information.  (See Your Rights and Choices) for information on how to access and/or delete your information).

 

We may anonymize data for statistical or research purposes. In this case there will be no definite retention period and we will not notify you.

When you provide us with your information through this website, we use up-to-date security safeguards and industry standard web browser encryption technology, firewalls, and continual monitoring to protect unauthorized attempts to access, misuse or change information.

This website is not intended to be used by children.  We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.  If we become aware that we have collected information from a child, we will take immediate steps to delete this information.

We make ever reasonable effort to ensure that your personal information is accurate and complete; we rely on you to update your information when necessary.  Please email our Privacy Officer at privacyofficer@emtelligent.com for updates to your information or for access to the information we have collected about you.

 

You always have the right to request that your information be deleted, except for information that is legally required.
